Mathew Lester (Matthew/Mateo),
a highly motivated and creative eCommerce specialist with over 20 years of experience in the industry. 

My journey in eCommerce has been marked by a deep passion for digital marketing, design, and technology, particularly within the Shopify ecosystem. Over the past 8 years, I've specialized in building and managing Shopify stores, ensuring they run smoothly and effectively.

My expertise spans a wide range of skills, including maintaining functionality, SEO, digital marketing, and promotion. I excel in Shopify design, theme support, app support, order management, POS, and technical support. One of my key strengths is conducting site analysis to increase conversion rates, solving complex problems, delegating responsibilities, and leading eCommerce teams to drive traffic through improved social media and email marketing, loyalty programs, and enhanced user experience.

I currently operate as a private remote contractor, providing comprehensive Shopify website management, design (both front and back-end), remote tech support, and small business consultation. My services cover all aspects of an online business, including theme integration, product management, Google analytics, domain/server management, user experience, problem-solving, traffic increase, digital marketing (social media posting and email campaigns), app integration, finance analysis/reporting, cloud, and data backup.

Previously, I owned and managed multiple eCommerce stores through platforms like Shopify, X-cart, Amazon, eBay, and Houzz, achieving total sales of over $8 million. My background also includes high-end digital photo editing and graphic art for prestigious clients in Vancouver, BC.

Beyond my professional life, I have a diverse range of interests that keep me inspired and engaged. I am passionate about beauty, health & wellness, finance investing & markets, business improvement, ancient history, world travel, psychology, astronomy, music, and art.

My educational background includes a 3 diploma in Photography & Graphic Art from Fanshawe College, where I was a top student and received the top Fujifilm Canada photography competition award. I also hold a Grade 13 Highschool Diploma from Clarke Road Secondary School, with a major in Art & Business.
